This coffee from the Guji region of Ethiopia is a Heirloom variety grown at altitudes between 1,750 and 1,900 meters above sea level. It undergoes a natural anaerobic process, which enhances its flavors of white grapes, black currant, rose, and Honey. Guji's coffee is known for its unique qualities, which are distinct from the neighboring Yirgacheffe and Sidamo regions. The Guji region, officially recognized in 2002, benefits from unique local varieties and microclimates, including high altitudes, abundant rainfall, and rich, fertile volcanic soil, contributing to the coffee's distinctive character and high quality, consistently ranking among the best in Ethiopia. The Guji people, part of the Oromo tribe, have been cultivating coffee in this region for generations, adding to the rich heritage and tradition of Guji coffee.
Flavor Notes: White grapes, Black Currant, Rose, Honey.
