Ethiopian coffee is known for its bright, fruity and floral flavors, featuring higher acidity, a light to medium body, and complex flavor notes. The combination of high altitudes and nutrient-rich volcanic soils creates ideal conditions for producing coffee.
Ethiopia Hambela Wamena Natural is grown in the Guji region of Ethiopia at elevations
of 1,850–2,000 MASL. The region takes its name from the Oromo people, a tribe that
has cultivated coffee on the land for generations. Produced from JARC varieties and
local landraces, the coffee is cultivated by smallholder farmers using traditional farming
methods, often intercropped with food crops and grown with minimal use of fertilizers or
pesticides. After selective hand-harvesting, ripe cherries are naturally processed and
dried on raised beds for 10–14 days, with regular turning and sorting to ensure quality
and consistency. Classified as Guji Grade 1, this lot represents the highest quality tier,
reflecting the careful cultivation, processing, and attention to detail that define coffees
from the Hambela Wamena area.
Freshness Matters
For the best flavor, grind your coffee just before brewing. Pre‑ground coffee can lose aroma and taste due to oxidation, and results may vary with water quality, brewing method, grind size, and technique. Freshly ground coffee delivers the cup as your roaster intended. Please note: Ground coffee is non‑refundable.
